There are many different ways to experience
a raw foods diet... I present them all.

Are you frustrated with the "all or nothing" mantra that the raw foods community is preaching? You're not alone. If you have been looking to up the ante on your diet by adding in fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains and seeds you've found your oasis! This site is a living breathing resource where you can get support and encouragement for your goals, no matter how little raw or how much raw you want to do. Whether you're a meat eater, vegetarian, or vegan I have some resources to get you started in your own time and on your own terms!

Perhaps you want to lose weight and or increase your energy. Or even, if you're like me, you want to improve the blotches on your skin (yes, sometimes vanity is a motivator). Whatever your reason, you'll need some momentum and know-how to keep you going and to get your eating habits in check. The best way to do that in a way that you can sustain is to pair some dynamic resources with a fabulous community.

In addition to organizing small group gatherings here in New York City, I also conduct free teleseminars (so that you can attend from any part of the world) and provide a free newsletter each week with practical tips and guidelines that will help you to recognize the best way for you to get where you want to be with every food choice, and in any environment. So by now you may be thinking, well who the heck are you?

Beatrice Johnston My name is Beatrice Johnston, I am a Raw Food Consultant and passionately devoted to health. I'm 39 years old but most people mistake me for being in my mid-to-late twenties because my eating habits have somehow seriously slowed down the hands of time. I sometimes feel that young and despite this society pressure on youth and aging I refuse to lie about mine. I know I look and feel the way I do because of the way that I eat.

Through my eating habits I've been able to heal myself of asthma, hypoglycemia, fluctuating weight issues, acne and even mental anguish and I love to share the wisdom and insight of my 23 years of experience in making healthy transitions. I became a vegetarian at 16 and didn't really understand anything about the nutrition side of eating until I was well into my twenties. What I discovered is that the food industry is in a state of constant flux, and since farming practices are also always changing I had to really search to find foods that actually put some vitamins and minerals and enzymes (they help digestion) into my body. I stumbled upon raw foods one day as I was browsing the streets of New York for some grub and since then have found a way to make them a major part of my diet. But here's the thing, the Raw Foods Community at large (not everyone, but most of them) are singing a song of "all or nothing" and the truth is, I don't believe that a totally raw food diet is for everyone, or even most. I believe that even just a little bit of raw will give us all benefits, and that it's really up to us as individuals to decide how far to walk the path.

I'm unusual in that regard, if not the only one. And I'm one of those vegans that isn't against someone else eating meat, even though I don't. I'm also not one of those people that will turn their nose up at you when they see you eating a steak. Honestly, I think people like that have missed the boat on what matters most. We all make different choices, and I simply believe that some raw foods should be a part of everyone's daily routine. If you have fruit for breakfast or a salad for lunch, guess what? You're eating raw anyway! I'll just help you to discover a few more creative ways to experience it and reap more benefits.
